DES MOINES – Promoting employee engagement, increasing community awareness and lending assistance to area residents, United Way of Central Iowa recently relied on the strong support of Sammons Financial Group (SFG) member companies in an all-day, thousands-strong volunteer event.
The agency’s annual Day of Action on Sept. 12 witnessed participation from several entities operating under the Sammons umbrella, with staffers choosing from more than 100 projects, groups and United Way partners.
“Employees come home knowing they made a difference in the lives of their neighbors in need,” United Way spokespersons stated on the Day of Action website, commending the company’s involvement. “That's a feeling that can't be captured without leaving your desk to engage with the community directly and personally.”
Sammons Financial Group Inc., the parent company of a group of financial services firms offering diverse financial and retirement products, equipment holdings, real estate investment and other businesses. SFG prides itself on its unique ownership and investment strategy.
