Everett L. “Butch” Anderson, 69 of Central City died Friday September 28, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. A celebration of Life Service will be held from 2 to 5 PM on Sunday October 21 at the American Legion Post in Central City.
Iowa Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Diana, three daughters, Shawn (Lawrence) Tupy of Texas, Cary (Paul) Kelsen of Central City, and Jayme (Clint) Reynolds of Cedar Rapids; a son Scott (Jamie) of Marion, and a sister Penny Anderson of Osage. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers Steven and David.
Butch was born on October 18, 1948 in Cedar Rapids the son of Earl and Edith Harger Anderson. He married Diana M. Vozenilek on May 1, 1971 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.
Butch proudly served in Vietnam as a military policeman. He was a member of the Am Vets Post No. 37, American Legion Post No. 421 in Central City, 23rd Military Police Chapter and the Farm Bureau.
Butch enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing pool and especially the time spent with his beloved family and many friends. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
A memorial fund has been established in Butch’s name.
