Minnesota Wild issued the following announcement on Nov. 8.
Minnesota Wild General Manager Paul Fenton today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled forward Matt Read from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Read, 32 (6/14/86), has recorded two points (1-1=2) in seven games with Iowa this season and six shots on goal in five NHL games with the Wild. The 5-foot-10, 188-pound forward owns 187 points (87-100=187) and 83 penalty minutes (PIM) in 442 career NHL games with Philadelphia and Minnesota. The native of Ilderton, Ont., has also played in 30 Stanley Cup Playoff games, recording 10 points (5-5=10).
Read was signed by the Wild as a free agent on July 30, 2018 and wears sweater No. 10 with Minnesota.
Minnesota plays at the Los Angeles Kings tonight at 9:30 p.m. on FOX Sports North and KFAN 100.3 FM.
