West Des Moines Comm School District issued the following announcement on Oct. 9
The countdown is on!
Dozens of high school marching bands from Iowa and surrounding states are set to take the field for Valleyfest XL at Valley Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 12. This marks the 40th consecutive year of the annual event.
All of the action will begin at 8 a.m. The Valley Marchmasters will perform an exhibition of its 2019 show “The Red Brick Road”at 10:45 p.m.
Tickets are available at the ticketing booths located outside the west entrance of Valley Stadium. Spectators can pay with cash or credit card. Here is a breakdown of prices:
Day show only—$10
Showdown (night show) only—$10
Students K-12 (all day-night)—$5
Children (5 and under)—free
A $2 discount will be given to seniors 55+
The Valley Band Boosters will operate two concession stands at Valley Stadium all day and throughout the evening. Commemorative apparel will also be available for purchase. Payment options for apparel and tickets will be by cash or credit cards. Concessions will be cash only. There will be an ATM located on site.
All performances are at Valley Stadium, located at 4440 Mills Civic Parkway in West Des Moines. The map below outlines parking specifics.
