Dowling Catholic High School issued the following announcement on Oct. 11
Every day I need you Lord, but today, especially, I need some extra strength to face whatever is to come. This day, more than any other day, I need to feel you near me to strengthen my courage and to overcome any fear. By myself I cannot meet the challenge of the hour. We are frail human creatures and we need a higher power to sustain us in all that life may bring. And so, dear Lord, hold my trembling hand. Be with me, Lord, this day and stretch out your powerful arm to help me. May your love be upon me as I place all my hope in you.
Students participating in the Fall Project are reminded to be at Dowling Catholic on Sunday to check in at 12:30 p.m. We will meet east of the school building near the faculty parking lot. We will conclude at 4:00 p.m. with a short reception at Dowling after the event.
March For Life sign-up forms are due to Mr. Fernholz by Wednesday, October 30th. Please stop by the East team room (across from room 305) to pick up an information sheet and sign-up sheet, if interested.
Next week we have conferences, which means a change in the schedule for the week. Monday is a regular A-day schedule. Tuesday is a C-day schedule, which means school will start at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday is a B-day schedule, with an 8:30 start. There is no school Thursday and Friday.
Students taking the PSAT next Wednesday, October 16th, please check your email for details from Ms. Gabriel. If you didn’t get an email or have questions, contact Ms. Gabriel.
