City of Waukee issued the following announcement on Nov. 14
All City of Waukee buildings will be closed Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. This includes the Waukee Public Library, which will also close early at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27.
There will be no garbage collection for City customers on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, Nov. 28). Thursday neighborhoods will be collected on Friday, and Friday neighborhoods will be collected on Saturday.
